Thailand: Advertisement of medical devices that do not require permission

Thai FDA had come up with a set of advertising specification for medical devices that are exempted from obtaining a medical device advertising license.


Clause 1: The content of the advertisement should not exaggerate its benefits, quality, standard, component or origin of the medical device to influence the audience. Advertisements that do not comply will be exempted under Section 57. of the Medical Device Act, B.E. 2551 (2008)


Clause 2: Medical devices under section 15,17 and 19 of Medical Device Act B.E. 2551 and B.E. 2562 required advertising license.


Clause 3: Other advertising requirement required with chapter 7: Advertisement of Medical Device Act B.E. 2551 and its amendment (No. 2) B.E. 2562
