To further enhance the ease of doing business and improve regulatory efficiency, the Central Licensing Authority has introduced a significant update to the application process for Market Standing Certificates (MSC) and Non-Conviction Certificates (NCC) for medical devices.
Effective immediately, the online system for medical device licensing has been upgraded with a new workflow that enables the auto-generation of MSC and NCC certificates. This initiative aims to simplify and expedite the regulatory process for stakeholders in the medical device industry.
Key Updates
Automatic Certificate Generation
Licensed medical device applicants can now obtain MSC and NCC certificates automatically through the updated system, reducing the waiting time and manual processing.
Discontinuation of Old Workflow
All existing MSC and NCC applications submitted through the previous workflow will be automatically rejected by the system.
Mandatory Resubmission
Stakeholders who have submitted applications under the old process are required to resubmit their applications in the new system from the notice date
This change underscores the regulatory body’s commitment to digital transformation and efficiency within the medical device sector. Stakeholders are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the new workflow and ensure compliance to avoid delays in certification processing.
