India: New requirement for Nebulizers, Blood Pressure Monitoring, Thermometer and Glucometers

On 28 December 2020, the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) released F.No.29/Misc/03/2020-DC (297). With effect from 01 January 2021, Nebulizers, Blood Pressure Monitoring Devices, Digital Thermometer and Glucometer will require Import License before marketing.

A representation has been received and requested to extend implementation of the notification for another 3 to 6 months due to the overwhelming procedural work such as auditing, product lab testing.
