Ghana: Additional Requirement for Import Permit Application (Level 2 Code)

Following the expiration deadline of the client registration on ProPer platform, the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) of Ghana has effectively commenced the enforcement of the ProPer Platform Level 2 starting from 31 July 2023.

A copy of the 10-digit alphanumeric Level 2 code is required to be uploaded as supporting documents for permit application on the ICUMS. If importers fail to comply with the requirement, FDA reserves the right not to issue the permits.

FDA urges the marketing authorization holders (MAH), importers, and exporters to register on the ProPer platform to smoothen procedure during the import permit application.
