Last day of the International Medical Device School (IMDS) event hosted by ARQON in Temasek Polytechnic (TP), participants were treated to a final day of insightful talks and interesting site visits.

Lectures on the intricacies of medical device development, covering ideation, prototyping, testing, and manufacturing and medical biochemistry fundamentals. Participants later toured the TP Research Centre for Biomedical Engineering, where they observed the latest developments in biomedical engineering research and the translation of such developments into new products.

Finally, the event ended with participants presenting their ideas for biomedical engineering products. This provided a great opportunity for participants to showcase their creativity and innovative thinking, and to receive feedback from their peers and industry experts.

Exciting news from the medical device industry! The IMDS Singapore 2023 conference hosted by ARQon CEO, May Ng, and Founder of ARPA, Jack Wong that recently took place from March 27-30, 2023.

The event brought together key leaders from the medical device industry, regulatory bodies, and academic institutions to discuss the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities in medical device regulation.

Attendees had the chance to network with peers, participate in roundtable discussions, and learn about the latest products and services from exhibitors.

Day 3 at the International Medical Device School (IMDS) hosted by ARQON. The day consisted of talks and workshops covering various aspects of the medical device industry, including market trends, case studies on bringing products to market, labelling medical devices, intellectual property rights strategy, careers in MedTech, software validation and usability, US FDA regulatory requirements, and medical device commercialization.

The speakers shared their knowledge and experience with the participants, who were able to learn about the challenges and successes involved in the MedTech industry.

International Medical Device School (IMDS) 2023 is a 4-day workshop, organized by both ARQon and ARPA, a highly esteemed institution providing comprehensive training and education on medical devices.

Day 1 discussed the current regulations in the medical industry and featured speakers from industry associations, clinical trials, and regulatory bodies. Topics included global harmonization, APAC regulatory requirements, and US FDA regulatory requirements.

IMDS provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary for success in the dynamic field of medical device development and manufacturing.

Our CEO, May Ng, and Business Development Director, Julie Dao, networked with several entrepreneurs like Daphne Ng, Florence Neo, Benjamin Chua and Joseph Lee, after the fireside chat in which they shared personal experience in their lives and had discussions on various topics.

Overall, it was an insightful experience for people who want to be an entrepreneur.

Day 2 of the International Medical Device School (IMDS SG), which included talks and workshops covering various topics related to medical device innovation and quality management.

The day included discussions on biodesign and innovation, quality management systems, electrical safety, risk management, and medical device packaging, among others. The workshops encouraged collaboration and problem-solving skills, while the talks emphasized the importance of product safety, sterilization, and regulatory compliance in the design and production of medical devices.
